One of my personal favorite categories of art is vintage park posters (at this very moment I have four of them hanging on my walls). Therefore, it seemed like an obvious choice to experiment with my own national park poster. I wanted to focus on the wolves of Yellowstone - who have a long, fascinating history I highly recommend reading about - and a vision immediately manifested in my head. I developed a grayscale design with the only color being yellow, represented in the wolf’s eyes and the text. With this I drew attention towards the piercing yellow of a wolf’s eye as well as the obvious connection of the “yellow” in Yellowstone.
